Celebration Of Learning
After our Viking Day we cleaned up our room ready to share our fantastic learning over the last term.
Student showed their parents and families all their lovely work. They were able to say quite clearly what was the learning in each piece of work. Good job Room 8!

The Great Muritai Book Swap
Last Thursday as part of
their Ancient Civilisation studies, the Year 3 and 4 team dressed as a person
from their studied country and ate a hearty morning tea based on food eaten in
ancient times. We had Greeks, Vikings
and Aztecs roaming the classrooms. Lucky Aztecs having lots of chocolate
and food with a Mexican type theme. It was very interesting to see what
everyone came up with. We were Vikings.
After morning tea the classes
set up their market stall to trade books for the Great Muritai Book Swap. In
the spirit of ancient times, students traded tokens for their donated books and
went shopping in their buddy classes! We
have been learning about trading, bartering and ancient markets and how a
communities long ago met their needs.
Students donated a gold coin
to participate and this money will be spent on the World Vision, Smiles
catalogue. Each class will decide which gifts to donate to help people in need in
other countries.
