Today we shared our learning with our little buddies. Everyone drew a picture for their little buddy to colour. Lots of fun on a Friday .

What did we find?

Olivia found the smallest iguanadon in the world.

Rory found a very tiny brachiosaurus .

Dan found the contents of a dinosaur egg.

 They were  clever excavators.

Fossil Hunters

Today Room 8 became fossil hunters. They were digging for fossils in chocolate chip cookies. Their tools were toothpicks and paint brushes. How many fossil chocolate chips will they find?

Mathletics Champs

Our Room 8 Maths class regularly features in the top classes for Mathletics points. This day we were the top class!

Sam Baird often starts his quest at 7am gaining points along with Joshua. Sam has been awarded a certificate of achievement  by Mathletics. All points count towards the class total.

We are very proud of Sam and all our students who are improving their skills  by practicing and extending their skills.

What happened today ...? 2nd in the top 100 in the world and Sam was 2nd in NZ classes. Go Sam ! You are amazing !

Buddies

Today we helped our little buddies make a poster about themselves on Comic life. Our buddies were dressed in their pjs too.

Marta's Amazing Shell

Today Marta brought her

ancient shell to school. It was very old and she thought dinosaurs might have been alive when a creature was living inside.

Pj Day

 Here we are in our pjs and dressing gowns raising money for Kidscan. Everyone brought a gold coin . Who will win a prize? 

The Very Bad Writing

Over the past few weeks we have been using our imagination to write in the style of author Andy Griffiths. We combined simple cartoons with creative thinking to make simple stories. The class has really enjoyed sharing and reading  their 'Very Bad " stories . 

We started with the Very Bad Holiday, then the Very Bad Parents  and onto the Very Bad Teacher . Of course the very bad teacher was not based on their teacher at all but the parents ...

The Bunny Visit

Today I bought my bunnies to school. They are very cute.
My rabbit is white and his name is Snowy. My sister's is black and his name is Benny. My sister is called Charlotte.
You can put my bunnies on a lead and take them for a walk.

My bunnies are adorable .
