More butterflies
The last of our Caterpillars have turned into pupa and the one that was on the bucket handle just hatched. We have put out the bucket outside in case they hatch over the Easter weekend. Thank you Nora for bringing your swan plant to school for our hungry caterpillars.
Why do we Clean our Teeth?
We started an experiment yesterday to see the effect of different drinks on our teeth if we didn't brush our teeth. We are using an egg as a tooth. In each cup we have put a different drinks like water, juice, coke and milk. We used our observation skills to check each egg tooth at the start. The eggs were smooth and brown.
Each day we are going to look to see if the egg tooth is changing.
We predict that there will be changes like colour and smell.

Crazy Caterpillars!
We have big caterpillars, teeny tiny caterpillars and medium size ones. As there is only one swan plant we have noticed the big ones follow eat other and seem to fight over the leaves. We think the mean one bites anyone in his way as well.
One even hung in a j shapes ready to change but he didn't. He must have been just pretending or trying it out.
The caterpillars are keeping us entertained.

Butterfly Data Disks- Reading for Information
We have just finished our butterfly question data disks. They were a bit tricky but everyone has done a great job.
You can see the question and the answer in the top space. Come in and have a look at them on our wall.
Caterpillars Everywhere.
This morning when we checked we saw the tiny little caterpillars had grown so big and shed their skin. They have kept us entertained all day by eating stalks and falling. They are eating machines.
By the end of the week the leaves may be all eaten!
Our big fat caterpillar turned into a pupa last week and we are patiently waiting for a butterfly.
Being a Huey
On Thursday we read the story of The Hueys in the New Jumper. We loved it so much that we decided to be a Huey and design ourselves a jumper and hat to make ourselves different. After drawing our jumper we wrote our story explaining it and shared it with a partner.
The story is about a group of people who all look the same till someone decided to be different and it made us think.
What kind of jumper would you have made if you were a Huey?
