Swimming Assessment Day
Ipad Day
We all love i pad day in our class. At the moment we are using them for maths basic fact practice. Working with a buddy helps us to learn to share the i pad and our ideas.
William loves the i pad too and has surprised us at how clever and quick he is with his fingers . Go William.
2 heads are better than one !

Our Swan Plant
We have a swan plant in our class. On the plant is a very hungry monarch caterpillar. If you look carefully you can see eggs ready to hatch and a couple of tiny caterpillars. Everyone loves looking through the magnifying glass to get a better look. We all love looking at our plant. Thank you Mrs Ryan

Our Book Study
We have started our year with Charlotte's Web as our shared novel. These are our box fold outs and show who we think are the main characters of the story. We think they look really good on display.
Our first Week Back!
We have had a busy week despite the rain on Tuesday. We have been swimming, working on some ruler art, enjoying the ipads and learning to be in the classroom again after our long holiday break.

School's Back
Welcome back to Term 1 2013
Welcome to our new school year.
After a lovely long holiday it is time to start a new learning journey in Room 8 in 2013.
We have wonderful students in Room 8 this year.
Come back and see us often. We love messages. So please take the time to leave one..
We are starting the year with a small study on Butterflies. Have you seen all our caterpillars and pupas? Over the past few days we have see beautiful monarch butterflies floating over the Year 3 and 4 garden. Check it out on Monday morning if you haven't seen it. The garden is slowly disappearing because of the hungry caterpillars!
