Monday Maths

We lose quite a few people from our class on Mondays as they are part of the Mantle programme. We revise our learning, look at our mathletics homework task and today we practiced our tables by playing games. 

Following instructions and rules along with being a fair player are good skills to have. Also being a good winner or loser means that other students will be happy to play with you again. You all have fun.

Mixed Media Collage Faces

We are slowly finishing our collage faces. The different textures of pictures add detail and interest to our collage faces. Every face looks different.

Being Busy

We have completed our term goals, our Gretchen Albrecht landscapes are on the wall, our collages are nearly finished and we have made our Olympic torches. We have been busy lately.

Homework Games

As part of their homework over the past 2 weeks Room 8 have designed and made a game to share with the class that  teaches them something.

We had the first of the sharing today with Abigail, Tilly, Charlotte and Sophie. A popular format seemed to be the board game. I know we are going to have fun playing all the games.

What a Clever Class

Mrs Chao is so proud of Room 8 when she checked the cloak bay today. Everything was hung up- neat and tidy. All the shoes were lined up on the rack!!

Downhill Racers

Noah and Tom made a trolley car racer and had a trial at Wellesley. It looks like fun but they need to work on brakes to be safe. 

Olympic News

Noah's best friend Sam who lives in England posted him an Olympic mascot keyring and an Olympic taxi. He loved getting his surprise!!

Collage Crazy!

We started our collage faces today as part of our multimedia art unit. Tearing magazine pictures into little pieces to glue onto our design was fun and challenging.

Welcome Back to Term 3

Welcome back to our new term. We will be studying the values of the Olympic movement as well as the actual games. It looks like fun. Are you living the Olympic values?

For Maths we will start multiplication and division, writing is explanation and narrative and a focus for PE is gymnastics. Sounds like a great term.

The End of Term
